It seems things have got a lot harder for Estoril to keep Licá on loan from Nottingham Forest next season. The Portuguese side were hoping they could extend the deal for one more year, and probably by paying only part of his salary.

But as reported by Record today, the player was given the green light by Nottingham Forest to look for another club permanently, as the Championship side told him they won’t make his departure difficult.

Licá’s contract with Nottingham Forest was supposed to expire next summer, but it seems the club are really keen on get rid of the player before that.

Signed from Porto last summer, the player only made seven appearances for the Championship side before being sent to Estoril on his short loan.

The 28-year-old should now have a busy summer ahead, and will probably have to take a pay-cut, because Portuguese sides often can’t afford the wages paid by English clubs.
