Nottingham Forest have been doing some preseason work in Spain and a performance against Malaga on Monday has impressed the local media, which will be encouraging news for fans of the Championship club.
Forest beat the Spanish club 3-0 thanks to goals from Gil Dias, Ben Osborn and Hillal Soudani.
Malaga are torn to shreds by Spanish newspaper AS, but it’s not all about criticism for the side relegated from the country’s top division.
Nottingham Forest looked ‘much more’ ready and it’s stated they’ve clearly built a team ‘by chequebook’, to gain promotion to the Premier League. Malaga are said to have approached the game with ‘a full statement of intent’, so they weren’t taking it easy.
Aitor Karanka’s side have shown they’re going to ‘fight’ for promotion and it’s stated the play of 21 year old Gil Dias was ‘formidable’, another footballer ‘from the factory of Jorge Mendes’.
Osborn’s goal was a ‘magnificent shot’, and after Soudani scored the rest of the match was a ‘bath and massage’ for Nottingham Forest.
