Earlier this month, Nottingham Forest were mentioned as a potential candidate to land Sporting’s Marcus Edwards.

It was later stated that due to disciplinary reasons, the winger was left out of the Portuguese club’s training group and it’s been repeatedly stated that Sporting want rid of him.

More has now emerged from O Jogo today, who report the Nottingham Forest target has changed agents. He is now represented by Wasserman and this has sparked more chatter around his future.

The Portuguese newspaper explain in their report that the 26-year-old has the exit door wide open at his current club as long as Sporting’s own interests and demands are considered.

The Tottenham youth graduate has not had any minutes in the last six Liga Portugal games. In all competitions, he’s played only 346 minutes.

Considering everything, it seems to be a problem with the player and not with his previous agents. The switch to Wasserman likely suggests that Edwards is keen to leave but the recent background is something Nottingham Forest will have to be wary of.
