Nottingham Forest have submitted a third offer for Omar Marmoush, offering €20-25m for the Eintracht Frankfurt forward.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reports that Nottingham Forest are pushing to try and get the forward.
Forest appear determined to add a striker to their squad before the end of the transfer window. They had been chasing Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez for much of the window but have failed in their attempts to convince him.
That’s seemingly seen them pivot to Marmoush and Plettenberg reports that they have already submitted a third bid for him.
They are now offering €20-25m for the forward but that is unlikely to convince Frankfurt, who are only willing to listen to a big offer of €30m plus add-ons. They want to keep the striker but the poker around his ongoing.
Any deal involving Marmoush would mean a major profit for the German team, who signed the striker on a free transfer last season.
He went on to score 17 goals and register eight assists in 43 games, numbers which now have Nottingham Forest chasing him and pushing to convince Frankfurt into a sale.
