Championship side Nottingham Forest are looking for defensive reinforcements this summer, as they hope to improve on their 16th place finish.

According to French newspaper L’Equipe, in their Friday edition, Nottingham Forest could be interested in signing Polish centre-back Damien Perquis.

Perquis is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with MLS side Toronto, and is looking to return to Europe. L’Equipe say the 32-year-old could soon sign for Nottingham on a free transfer.

Born in France, Perquis has represented Poland 14 times, but been out of the national team picture for a few years. He has played for Sochaux and Saint-Etienne in France, and also spent three years at Real Betis.

Perquis is primarily a centre-back, but could also do a job as a defensive midfielder.
