It seems that Porto are pretty glad they managed to send Saidy Janko to Nottingham Forest on deadline day.

When covering the transfer this weekend, the local press looks at the move as a solution for the Dragons, who needed the player to leave the squad.

Janko arrived at Porto this summer on a €3m move from Saint Etienne, but as newspaper O Jogo writes, he was ‘dismissed’ by manager Sérgio Conceição.

The outlet recalls that the player only featured for a few minutes in a friendly against Portimonense, but that was enough for the manager to leave him out of the squad for the season.

The local newspapers just can’t agree if Nottingham Forest will have a buying option over the player or not.

Although O Jogo claims the Championship side can buy him at the end of the season, Record says that such a clause doesn’t exist, and Janko should return to Portugal at the end of the spell.
