Even if you aren’t a fan of the France national team, Manchester United or Juventus, there is little chance that you will avoided the absolute mess that is currently taking place between Paul Pogba and his brother Mathias.
We won’t go into all the detail, because it’s a complicated story, but one of the many threads involves the France international being accused of using witchcraft to curse Kylian Mbappé.
Pogba appears to have denied that to the Paris Saint-Germain star, but his older brother has since doubled down on the claim and involved new Nottingham Forest signing Serge Aurier in the process.
The Ivory Coast international was a free agent following his exit from Villarreal, and, despite being linked elsewhere, decided to return to the Premier League with Steve Cooper’s side.
He has yet to make an appearance for Nottingham Forest since signing two weeks or so ago, but that will certainly come in what will be a long and important season for the Tricky Trees.
He said, relayed by Foot Mercato: “This individual, my brother, has become a fan of witchcraft in recent years, becoming the follower of a sorcerer, known as the marabout Ibrahim, called Grande, a relative of former player Alou Diarra, who would have known him thanks to the player Serge Aurier. This is the wizard I was talking about as someone who worked to isolate my brother.
“As for what my brother did, among what is certain is that the criminals acting in his name have spilled blood. (…) He cast spells on several teammates including Mbappé. My brother, on several occasions, cast spells on his football teammates, including the prodigy Kylian Mbappé, whether out of jealousy or to win a match.”
It will be interesting to see whether the Nottingham Forest player, not exactly known for taking such matters on the chin, will reply to these accusations in the coming days.
