Nottingham Forest are not that keen on signing Saidy Janko on a permanent deal at the moment, according to claims on Monday.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports the transfer is ‘starting being questioned’ by the English side as he’s only been able to make six appearances for the club this season.

The short story, which talks about the player’s ‘downfall’ in the headline, makes it pretty clear that Porto would be interesting in selling.

The Dragons signed Janko from Saint Etienne on a €2.2m deal in the summer, and didn’t even use him, as he was immediately sent to the Championship side.

A Bola doesn’t mention if Forest have a buying option over the player or if the clubs would have to negotiate a fee at the end of the season.

When first available at the start of the season, Janko started his first five games in the Championship. After that, he was dropped to the bench and never used again.
