Nottingham Forest have spent Monday trying to get a deal across the line to sign Jonathan Panzo from Dijon, and it would appear the club’s efforts have finally paid off.

Much earlier today we covered claims from France which stated Nottingham Forest had made an attempt for the central defender, but had been knocked back by Dijon. At that time it was made clear that the English club hadn’t given up on the signing, and talks could continue throughout the day.

Then, on Monday evening, French reports talked of optimism from the parties involved in the talks, and it was stated that the potential late transfer was developing, after clearly a lot of effort throughout the day from Nottingham Forest.

French journalist Loic Tanzi now reports the club have reached an agreement to sign Panzo before the window closes. It’s stated the player ‘will join’ Nottingham Forest, although there’s no explanation on the structure of the deal or what the transfer will cost.
