According to a claim in the Swedish media, Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Tim Erlandsson has terminated his contract with the Championship side in order to return to his home country.

Expressen report Erlandsson looks set for a transfer to Sweden and they claim he’s close to signing for IK Frej. It’s reported the Swedish club will shortly announce the signing of the young goalkeeper as he seeks first team football.

The 22 year old finished his youth career in the Nottingham Forest academy but has yet to make his debut for the senior team. The youngster was spotted playing for Halmstads and impressed whilst on loan with the English side before his permanent transfer to the City Ground.

During his four stay with Nottingham Forest, Erlandsson was loaned out on three occasions, with his last spell being with National Conference side Salford City.

Before that the player was rented to Barrow and Swedish club AFC Eskilstuna.
