Greek website Sdna report Olympiacos are still considering signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Tiago Silva, but the Portuguese midfielder is currently a fall-back option for the club.
Pedro Martins’ side are very close to selling Brazilian midfielder Guilherme and subsequently they are looking to replace him.
Sdna claim their first-choice target is 23 year old Portuguese midfielder Pepe from Vitoria Guimares, but if they don’t manage to sign him, they will turn their attention to the Nottingham Forest player.
It’s reported Silva is on the shortlist at Olympiacos but what matters most for the Greek champions at the moment is the acquisition of Pepe, so the Forest player will only become an issue if that fails.
The 27 year old midfielder was a regular for Sabri Lamouchi’s side last season as they narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
Silva made 44 appearances in the Championship for Forest in the last campaign, scoring three goals. His contract with the club will expire at the end of June 2022.
