Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga is back in the Sweden national team squad after offering out an olive branch to resolve issues with manager Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Aftonbladet cover the situation today and how the long running saga appears set to come to an end in the next international break.

The newspaper cover comments from Jon Dahl Tomasson today in which he explains that Elanga is back in the picture after contacting him personally.

“Anthony has contacted me and wants to be part of the national team,” he said regarding the Nottingham Forest winger.

“What happens between a coach and a player stays within the team. We have had many good conversations. He is extremely positive. We have seen all the matches, and he has performed really well.”

He’ll now be at Jon Dahl Tomasson’s disposal for clashes against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland later this month before World Cup qualifiers in September.

The resolution, and apparent olive branch from Elanga, appears to be him bringing an attempt to end the dispute which he had started.

He had snubbed a group dinner and ignored calls from Jon Dahl Tomasson in recent months but now appears to want back in as life at Nottingham Forest goes well.

Whether he can take his Premier League form into the national team set up, after setting himself up as a key player for Forest this season with three goals and eight assists in 28 games in the Premier League so far, is the big question.
