Nottingham Forest striker Nuno Da Costa could now be on his way to Caen, despite an agreement with Auxerre.
That’s according to Ouest France, who say the forward is ‘considering’ rejoining the club where he spent last season on loan.
Yesterday we covered a report from France that stated Da Costa had struck an agreement with Auxerre on a two-year deal.
That made it clear he was not a part of Nottingham Forest’s plans this season after spending last year on loan at Caen and that a move to Auxerre could be on the cards.
Ouest-France say otherwise, though, explaining a transfer to the French club is ‘set to be a big one’.
They report that ‘everything seemed to be in place’ with Auxerre but now that deal ‘may not be so good’.
Instead, according to their information, the Nottingham Forest man is ‘considering a move to Caen’.
There’s no mention of a deal being in place with Forest on a transfer, although the hint yesterday is that they might be letting him go on a free.
That is a situation which is clearly in flux, but we’re sure there’ll be more on Da Costa soon given he now seemingly has agreements in place with two separate French clubs.
