Nottingham Forest make first offer to sign defender – Club taking ‘a few days to decide’

Unstoppable in the transfer window, Nottingham Forest continue to be interested in shopping at Atalanta, according to reports from Italy.

TuttoMercatoWeb today features a story which first recalls the initial targets the Reds had at the Serie A side.

It started with them signing Remo Freuler from on a €9m deal this month.

Nottingham Forest had also made an attempt to land Ruslan Malinovskyi, but with Atalanta demanding €20m for his sale, the Premier League side ended up staying short in their effort.

And now, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Tricky Trees are trying to sign right-back Hans Hateboer.

Their offer is said to be for a loan, and in case Nottingham Forest manage to stay up in the Premier League at the end of the season, there’s a buying clause worth €8m.

Atalanta are reportedly taking ‘a few days to decide’ as they ‘reflect’ on the matter.

However, they’re said to be already thinking of a few names who could replace the full-back, so that may be a sign that they’re preparing for his exit.
