According to a claim in the Greek media, Nottingham Forest are showing an interest in Olympiacos midfielder Andre Martins.

The Championship side have already brought in Martins’ former Olympiacos teammate Andreas Buchalakis this summer.

Sport24 have reported Martins is an option for Nottingham Forest, and they could move in for the 27 year old before the transfer window closes.

The club have been impressed with how Buchalakis has settled in at the City Ground, after the midfielder scored two goals against Brentford last weekend.

Despite playing 39 games for Olympicaos last season, Martins is expected to struggle to get in the Greek side’s starting eleven this campaign. It’s been claimed Nottingham Forest could now step in and offer the former Portugal international more opportunities.

Martins only joined Oympicaos last year after signing from Sporting. The midfielder is contracted to the club until June 2019.

Andre Martins has represented his country on two occasions.
