Nottingham Forest were busy in the last window as they ended up signing 22 players, out of which three of them were left-backs.
The Tricky Trees bought Harry Toffolo and Omar Richards, while Renan Lodi arrived on loan from Atlético Madrid. Toffolo was initially included in the playing XI but lost his place to the Brazilian.
Richards, on the other hand, is yet to make an appearance for Nottingham Forest due to injury. Despite having these three options, they are looking to add another player in the same position in the next window.
Radiosei, relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, state Steve Cooper’s side are after Cremonese’s Emanuele Valeri and could ‘launch an attack’ for him as early as January.
It’s claimed the Serie A club dream of a rich capital gain and are ‘rubbing their hands’ over the possibility of selling him to the English club, who could be joined by Lazio in chasing the 23-year-old.
Three days ago, TuttoMercatoWeb interviewed the left-back’s agent, Pietro Parente, and he confirmed Lazio and Milan have probed about his client.
“Yes, it is true, I confirm that they are clubs that have probed his profile. After all, he also showed yesterday that he is ready for a further step forward, that he is also ready for the so-called big [clubs], not only on a technical level but also on a personality level,” the agent said.
When asked if his client could soon change clubs, Parente said: “The boy is only focused on Cremonese and on salvation which is the first goal of the club, then we’ll see about the future.
“Obviously, the goal is to grow more and more, and if it were not, hunger must always be there, if one day the possibility arises, we will exploit it. But it’s not time to talk about it.”
