Nottingham Forest fans might not be entirely familiar with the name Abde Ezzalzouli, more commonly as Abde, but he did appear for Morocco at the World Cup.
That should change soon, though, as Steve Cooper’s side are keen on the player, currently on loan at Osasuna from Barcelona, where he is ‘performing like a charm’.
That’s according to claims in Spain, relayed by Sport in Spain, who claim Nottingham Forest are the ‘most interested’ in the young winger.
While he is currently focused on staying at Barcelona, which is described as his ‘priority’, his future will ‘depend on the offers that arrive’ for his services come the summer.
It’s made clear that Nottingham Forest are ‘very aware of his situation’ and are ‘seriously thinking about signing him’ in the next transfer window.
Should they stay up in the Premier League, ‘money would not be a problem’, as Evangelos Marinakis has made a point of showing he’s ready to back Steve Cooper on the transfer market when needed.
Despite Abde wanting to stay, a lot could depend on the money on offer, as Barcelona are known to be in a precarious financial position, and we all know every little helps these days.
