Nottingham Forest forward Nuno da Costa is set to join French side Caen, on loan until the end of the season.
That’s according to Ouest France, who say that according to their information, he ‘must be loaned’ by the Championship side before the end of today.
Da Costa has only made one appearance for Forest since returning from a loan spell at Mouscron last season, and it seems they are keen to move him on again.
The 30-year-old has struggled since arriving in England from Strasbourg in 2020 but managed to revive things with his loan spell last year.
His contract at Nottingham Forest runs until 2023, and with a permanent sale seemingly not on the cards; they are now set to loan him back to France.
Ouest report that the move to Caen will be a ‘dry loan’ with Nottingham Forest also paying a part of his wages.
There is no mention of when a medical will take place or anything of that nature as yet, although Da Costa is currently out injured with a strained thigh that Caen will presumably want to take a hard look at first.
