According to Greek newspaper Live Sport, via Pagenews, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Panathinaikos defender Mattias Johansson.
The Championship side were in the playoff picture before the league stopped because of the Covid-19 outbreak, and it seems they’ve already started working on their squad ahead of the next campaign.
It’s reported that Nottingham Forest are ‘flirting’ with the Swedish right-back, with suggestions they may have already held initial transfer talks.
The 28 year old has also linked with a move to fellow Greek Superleague side PAOK, and Live Sport claim Nottingham Forest are also interested in him.
Johansson has been a regular player for Panathinaikos this season making 25 appearances in all competitions, providing two assists.
His contract with the Greek club will expire at the end of the season so he could join Sabri Lamouchi’s side on a free transfer. Forest will be able to speak to the player with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
