Monday’s edition of ABC Sevilla reports Nottingham Forest and Real Betis ‘finalise an agreement’ for Alex Moreno to swap Seville for the English club.
According to the report, the player will be moving for a €10.5m fee, with a further €4.5m in potential bonus payments.
The Premier League side are said to have been pushing all the summer for Moreno, with their first offer being so low it caused anger at the Spanish club. However, Betis need to sell before their can bring signings in, so the improved offer always stood a good chance of being accepted.
Over at Diario de Sevilla, they say Moreno is now ‘very close’ to signing for Nottingham Forest, and there’s a rough agreement between the two clubs, who just need to finalise the ‘fringes’ of the deal.
Despite English claims of a total agreement, Diario de Sevilla say there’s still aspects to be completely closed, although ABC Sevilla seem more confident it’s all done and dusted.
Nottingham Forest’s first offer for the transfer is said to have been €7.5m.
