Nottingham Forest seem to have a bit of competition when it comes to a potential transfer for Besiktas’ Romain Saiss.
That comes from Marseille in France, who have eyed the Morocco international as a defensive reinforcement alongside their hunt for a new manager.
Nottingham Forest were already linked with the centre-back a few days ago, and Türkiye Gazetesi bring a new update on Tuesday on the pursuit.
It’s said that both clubs are ‘expected to knock on the door’ of the Turkish side ‘in the coming days’ to present their offers.
While Marseille are thinking about putting €3m on the table to convince Besiktas to sell, Türkiye Gazetesi wonder ‘what kind of figure’ Nottingham Forest will come up with.
As for the Süper Lig side, it’s said they want least €4m to be convinced to let the 33-year-old to potentially return to the Premier League, where he spent many years with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Saiss made 25 appearances in the league last season for Besiktas, scoring one goal and picking up two assists.
