Nottingham Forest defender Frederik Fisker has confirmed to the Danish media he will be leaving the Championship side in the summer. The 19-year-old has failed make the breakthrough with Nottingham Forest, and will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Speaking to Viborg-Folkeblad, Fisker explained it’s the right time to find a new club after a disappointing spell with Nottingham Forest. The youngster believes he didn’t get the challenge he expected whilst with the club, but he still thinks he’s shown improvement.

“I feel that the time for a move away is just right now. I have spoken to my agent, I did not get quite the same challenge and I haven’t developed. So it makes sense that I now have to try something else,” said the Nottingham Forest defender.

Fisker joined Nottingham Forest on a three year deal in 2014 from Danish side FK Viborg. However, the Dane has failed to make an impact at the club, and hasn’t managed to force himself into first team plans.

This season Fisker has had to be content with playing for Nottingham Forest’s youth team, and now he needs to move on to kickstart his career.
