Following the departure of Loïc Badé, who had his loan with Nottingham Forest cancelled, another defender was meant to be leaving City Ground in the January transfer window.

That was Loïc Mbe Soh, with it widely reported that a loan to Guingamp in Ligue 2 was underway, but nothing has come of it just yet.

The 21-year-old, who was signed from Paris Saint-Germain for €5m back in 2020, has only made two appearances for Nottingham Forest this season, both in the EFL Cup.

He doesn’t appear to be in Steve Cooper’s plans for this season, at the very least, so sending him back to France for the rest of the campaign made a lot of sense.

Ouest-France on Wednesday evening, however, report that, as of the time of them writing the article, the player still wasn’t with Guingamp, who are starting to get fed up.

They write that the Ligue 2 side ‘will not wait forever’ and could even ‘quickly close the affair if matters don’t accelerate’ with Nottingham Forest.

The Tricky Trees have been warned.
