The Portuguese press is so confident of João Carvalho and Diogo Gonçalves’ move from Benfica to Nottingham Forest that they simply include the information in other stories now.

On Friday, as O Jogo reports Olympiacos interest in Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez, the newspaper also brings some curiosities about the deal with the Championship side.

The outlet claims that the double transfer hasn’t been agreed in Portugal or England. It’s actually been discussed in Greece, home country of Forest and Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis.

Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira had been discussing the Forest deal with Marinakis, and ended up offering Lisandro Lopez, who’s returning from a deal at Inter Milan, to the Greek side.

So even though Nottingham Forest are getting a double deal, Marinakis may end up getting a triple, splitting the players between his two clubs. That is, in case he really decides to go for the defender.

That’s what he call a real life Football Manager. Now we hang on and wait until Lisandro Lopez is linked to Nottingham Forest as well.
