Nottingham Forest have joined Napoli in the chase for Udinese’s Beto in the summer.
The striker has 10 goals and two assists from 32 games and is now an ‘object of desire’ of several Italian clubs. That’s according to Mondo Udinese, who mention Napoli and add they have made a €25m bid to secure his services.
Napoli’s proposal doesn’t please Udinese’s management, especially after they rejected a higher offer for the 25-year-old in the winter market.
The negotiations are ‘destined to last a little longer’, also because there are other teams interested in the Portuguese forward. That’s when Nottingham Forest are mentioned.
A 1-0 win over Arsenal last weekend has helped Steve Cooper’s side secure a place in the Premier League next season.
The Tricky Trees, who have a ‘great desire to stand out’, want to bolster their attack in the summer and have identified Beto as a target. It’s stated Nottingham Forest ‘could make a monstrous offer’ to acquire his signature.
Meanwhile, Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino has now revealed the conditions needed to take Beto away from the club in the next window.
“Napoli’s offer for Beto? I have not seen this offer. Beto has a clause so there aren’t many discussions to have. He is an important player with plenty of room for improvement. We will try to hold him as long as we can,” he said, as quoted by Tutto Udinese.
