There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are among a number of clubs showing interest in Trabzonspor midfielder Batista Mendy.
The Frenchman impressed in his Super Lig debut season after joining the Trabzon club from Angers during the 2023 summer transfer window.
Haber 61 today report on the latest developments regarding his future and say clubs from England, Italy and France are keeping a close eye on the defensive midfielder.
There also claims of interest from a Russian club, who could make an attempt to sign the 24-year-old in January.
The Turkish media outlet say Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are the two sides from the Premier League who are monitoring the situation, but there are no reports of any offers being lined up.
It’s reported Mendy is likely to cost around €20m after Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Doğan set his value, but it’s likely any interested club will have to wait until next summer to make their move.
Mendy has started seven league games this season and is contracted to Trabzonspor until June 2027, with the option for a year extension.
