Tottenham forward Richarlison was recently at Brazilian club Palmeiras, but the visit had nothing to do with a transfer.

That’s according to Bolavip, who are keen to dispel any transfer rumours that may be developing around the Tottenham man.

They explain that while Richarlison was a recent target for Palmeiras, who were keen to boost their squad ahead of the Club World Cup in the summer, the forward’s recent trip was ‘nothing like that’.

Instead, according to their information, Richarlison made the trip to the club to consult with a doctor there. They say the 27-year-old was undergoing medical examinations at Palmeiras as he is being treated by a doctor who also works for the club.

“But it was just an exam, the player should not undergo treatment at the club,” explained reporter Gabriel Amorim, from the ‘PodPorco’ channel.

Richarlison has been hampered by injuries since signing for Tottenham from Everton and is currently dealing with an injury picked up against Liverpool in the league cup midway through last month.

He felt pain in his ankle in that game 45 minutes into the game and was substituted off, limping badly after being treated by Tottenham’s doctors.

They’re still working to fix that injury, and it seems he’s employed the expertise of a doctor at Palmeiras to help with the recovery, hence his recent visit, which they’re keen to insist had nothing to do with a transfer.
