Last month, AS reported Liverpool are actively working to sign Sevilla’s Loïc Badé. It was also stated the Reds are the ‘biggest’ club to make an approach for the centre-back.
On Tuesday, ABC Sevilla stated the La Liga side are expecting to receive a good offer as Liverpool hover over for Badé. There was no mention of any figures.
Recent claims in the UK have stated Sevilla could sell the defender to Liverpool for €20m. Vamos Mi Sevilla FC relay it and then give their take on this case. They make it clear this is their own information.
The 24-year-old initially has made ‘progress’ at Sevilla, which saw him receive a call up from France manager Didier Deschamps this month. He hasn’t yet made his debut for France, but his development has convinced Sevilla to ‘ask around €30m’ from Liverpool.
El Mira state the player has a €60m release clause and ‘it’s not unreasonable’ for Liverpool to pay this amount by activating the clause.
On the other hand, the Spanish club are unlikely to reject a bid that’s not close to €60m due to their financial condition.
Badé came close to leaving Sevilla for €20m in the last window. El Mira add if his club were to be optimistic, they could ask for €35-40m for him next year.
We think they’re all getting a little carried away on price.
