In need of many reinforcements this summer, Nottingham Forest made a number of deals on the European transfer market.
One of those was signing Omar Richards from Bayern Munich for just over £7.5m, even though the player was recovering from a fractured leg.
This means he has yet to feature for Nottingham Forest, but that hasn’t stopped the excitement of eventually seeing him play at City Ground.
While he cost the club a pretty penny, there appears to have been rumours that Bayern had a buy-back clause in the deal agreed with the Tricky Trees.
Those, however, have been dispelled by Christian Falk, who took to Twitter to set the record straight.
He simply stated that it’s ‘not true’ that Bayern have a ‘buy-back option for Omar Richards’, meaning that if the Bundesliga giants eventually want to bring the 24-year-old back to Bavaria, they will have to negotiate with Nottingham Forest from scratch.
During his time with the German side, Richards made 17 appearances in all competitions, picking up one assist.
