Tanguy Ndombele has had a much better time during the current season, quickly forgetting about his troubles at Spurs after his move from Lyon.
The midfielder has shown he can be an important player for Jose Mourinho, with the Tottenham manager also showing that he’s willing to stick by the 24-year-old and try to make the most of his talents.
Initial struggles had been so bad there was even talk of a very quick exit from the Premier League. That now seems way in the past, but Ndombele likely doesn’t see himself with Tottenham for the rest of his career.
Speaking to Telefoot, L’Equipe quote the player as saying: “I am a boy from the Paris region. To wear the Paris jersey one day, why not? We have talked about this on numerous occasions. It did not happen and today it is going well at Tottenham. We’ll see, why not later?”
Ndombele has plenty of time to fulfil that loose aim, and his contract with Spurs lasts until June 2025.
