Fábio Silva has struggled at Wolverhampton Wanderers since joining them from FC Porto in 2020. The Premier League club sent him out on repeated loans and he initially struggled with those too.
Last summer, Wolves allowed the 22-year-old to join UD Las Palmas on loan, and he did much better this season, scoring 10 goals and registering three assists from 24 league games.
That didn’t save Las Palmas from relegation, and there’s no chance Silva will stay there.
Thursday’s edition of AS claims Atlético Madrid have identified Silva as an option for the summer window. Atlético’s Ángel Correa wants to leave and his exit could bring the Portugal international to the club.
Silva will return to Molineux, where he has a contract until 2026. Both he and Wolves are looking for a permanent solution in the upcoming window, and his priority is to return to Spain.
The report states several Spanish clubs want the Wolves owned player but ‘not so many can afford him’. There’s no mention of any figures or the fee requested by Vítor Pereira’s side to sanction Silva’s sale.
Los Rojiblancos can provide Silva a chance to join a big club and may not have an issue paying the requested fee to secure his services.
