For past few days, the Italian media have been discussing Tottenham Hotspur as a potential destination for Arkadiusz Milik.
The Poland international has a year left on his contract at Napoli and has so far not signed an extension with them.
On June 26th, Corriere dello Sport reported the north London club are still pursing the 26-year-old’s signing.
With Aurelio de Laurentiis demanding €50m for the striker, the newspaper explained Spurs are willing to send Lucas Moura in the opposite direction to lower the cost of the operation.
Speaking to Radio Marte, Italian agent Vincenzo Morabito discussed Milik’s situation and also talked about whether or not the Naples club should sign Moura. Area Napoli have relayed the comments made by the intermediary.
Morabito stressed the frontman’s exit from Napoli this summer is “inevitable”, but admitted he has reservations about the player joining José Mourinho’s side.
“Moura is a very interesting player, he did quite well at Tottenham, especially a year ago, which was his best season. Fast, technical, very professional,” he explained.
“Despite being 28 years old, he has only played in three clubs: San Paolo, PSG, where he has done very well, and now at Tottenham. He would be a great quality purchase.”
“Milik’s problem is his contract expires in 2021. I’m not so convinced of Tottenham; he would go there and be the reserve [striker]. Tottenham wanted Olivier Giroud in the past and he didn’t accept because there is no room with Harry Kane.”
Juventus have also been looking at Milik and Morabito is of the belief the attacker will get more opportunities at the Turin club than at Tottenham.
