AS Roma are expected to try and buy Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea soon, the Italian media says.
Radio Radio shows up with an ‘exclusive’ report claiming that the Giallorossi are keen on keeping the centre-forward at the club.
His loan spell, which expires this summer, included no buying option, as that couldn’t be agreed between Roma and Chelsea at the time of the deal.
Now as Enrico Camelio talks about Lukaku’s future, he claims the general feeling at the Serie A side is that he should be kept there.
“Daniele De Rossi likes him a lot. They have a very good relationship: Roma will try to keep him. But not at the price Chelsea want.”
Radio Radio adds that Chelsea’s request should be around €40m. It then remains to be seen how much Roma can put on the table.
Featuring for the Giallorossi this season, Lukaku has 21 goals and four assists in 47 appearances.
Chelsea will surely look to make a sale with him and avoid another summer where clubs only want the player on loan. His contract with the Blues still runs until 2026, so it’ll be no surprise if they accept to let him go with a little discount.
