Earlier on Tuesday, Mundo Deportivo reported Denis Suarez to Arsenal is very much back on.
They explained a deal was almost done, and the player would be moving on loan from Barcelona for a fee of around €2m. Arsenal would have a buying option in the summer.
Sport then backed claims from Mundo Deportivo, but had slightly different figures. They said the Gunners will be paying a fee of €2.5m, and that a summer purchase option could be valued at around €25-30m.
Marca also went for €2.5m, and they reported there would be no set fee for the summer, so Arsenal and Barcelona would have to negotiate a price then.
AS went with a €2m fee and a €20m purchase option.
Inevitably, Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has been asked about it at his press conference today, and is quoted by Mundo Deportivo as saying: “I know that Denis was in this situation, it’s not official and we have to wait a little bit, it was a possibility that everyone valued and we hope that if it happens, it will go well.”
That’s a pretty sure hint it’s in the works.
