Thursday’s edition of L’Equipe strongly linked Tottenham with a move for Lucas Moura.

PSG are looking to raise funds during the current window as their never ending battle with FFP continues, and whilst the Spurs interest was on a loan, the Parisians would try for some commitment to buy.

It was claimed Tottenham had initiated contacts over potentially signing Moura, and there had been developments from the London club in the hours leading up to the article’s publication.

With PSG being so keen and Moura needing a fresh start and making that publicly clear, there could be a suspicion it’s the Ligue 1 side and player trying to talk Tottenham into it, rather than the other way around.

Whatever it is, France Football readers may have some timely advice. The French magazine have published an article trying to find a valuation for the player.

For various reasons, they’ve plumped for €30m, and then asked their readers if that’s spot on, too much or not enough.

46% say he’s worth less than €30m

17% say it’s more

36% say it’s a fair price

Given these are French football fans, on the whole, and people who have seen Lucas’ career stagnate at first hand, it’s worth noting.
