Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has spoken to Milliyet about the possibility of signing Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini.
The Manchester United midfielder has been linked with the Turkish side in recent days.
Gunes told Milliyet: “No, I don’t want to talk about the players who are not in my team. He’s a good player but he’s not in my team right now. I only want to talk about my players.
“It doesn’t matter if it’s Fellaini or some 14 year old youngster. We’re not buying clothes, we are making an agreement with human beings. So we need to talk carefully.”
The Besiktas boss managed to send a whole lot of hints despite trying his best to be respectful.
This week we covered reports from Turkey that Besiktas president Fikret Orman is set to fly to England to hold talks with the Manchester United star’s agent over a possible move to the Turkish top flight.
Besiktas are keen to strengthen their midfield, and given Fellaini’s contract situation with Manchester United, he’s a concrete target for the Turkish champions.
They can talk to the Belgian international in the new year with regards to a pre-contract agreement, and possibilty of landing him on a free next summer.
