We’re not quite sure why Bodø/Glimt keep offering Tottenham motivational material ahead of their Europa League semi-final second leg, but they do.

NRK cover comments from Jostein Gunderson today in which he insists Tottenham are not all that defensively and can be gotten at.

Tottenham lead the Europa League semi-final 3-1 after a dominant performance at home in the first leg.

Bodø/Glimt had talked a big game before that clash, boosted by their performances in the competition up to this point, but were unable to truly bother Ange Postecoglou’s side.

That didn’t stop them from commenting far and wide after the game, with Fredrik Sjøvold earning the headlines when he insisted Tottenham’s press was no better than an Eliteserien team. In other words, he wasn’t very impressed.

Bodø/Glimt have since pulled back on those comments, with manager Kjell Knutsen insisting they were simply ill-advised from a young player and his teammate insisting they were plain stupid.

They were determined to backtrack on it, perhaps wanting to avoid handing Tottenham even more motivation ahead of the second leg.

Except that message doesn’t seem to have been shared among the whole group, and Gunderson comes up with the latest comments that we’re sure Tottenham won’t let go.

“We have seen a lot of video,” he said.

“It is not the best team in the world in defence, with all due respect. It is a fantastic football team, but there are possibilities.”
