With Norwich City currently swimming against the current in the Premier League, without a win in their last four games, it would be understandable if a few players were looking for a way out in January.

We’re not saying that’s the case for Max Aarons, who has very recently ended up in the crosshairs of José Mourinho at AS Roma, but if the Serie A side were to come knocking, you would have to imagine that the right-back would be tempted.

Both Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport mention his name in their column inches on Monday, with the former pointing out the England U21 international is ‘very popular’.

That being said, Norwich ‘want at least €20m’, which is a fee Roma would probably be reluctant to pay midway through the season, with a loan and a view to buy more up their street, allowing them to defer the payment in the process.

This is what Corriere hint at, stating he ‘can arrive on a loan with a right to buy’, although that would suggest the Canaries agreeing to it, which we don’t see happening.

It’s also made clear the ‘prices are growing’, meaning the Norwich man is seeing his value rise, perhaps due to an increase in interest in his services, with previous reports hinting that Premier League clubs could join a potential auction.

Either way, Aarons to AS Roma is still very much a thing.
