Over the past few days, we’ve been reporting Marseille’s interest in signing Aston Villa’s Carlos Sanchez and Jordan Veretout, but the Ligue 1 club have failed to agree deals for either player.
Reports in France have suggested Marseille are now hoping to sign Norwich’s Youssouf Mulumbu.
According to Saturday’s reports from L’Equipe, Norwich are prepared to allow Youssouf Mulumbu to join Marseille on a free transfer.
L’Equipe say negotiations are ongoing, and a deal could be completed by the beginning of next week. It has been revealed Mulumbu is not the first choice of Marseille boss Franck Passi, but the club failed in their attempts to sign Carlos Sanchez.
Mulumbu made just 10 appearances for Norwich last season, mainly due to injuries. Marseille have been quite active in the English transfer market, and are keen to sign several players.
