Norwich City ae interesting in signing Cruzeiro left-back Marlon in a deal worth around £4m in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Goal Brasil, who report that Norwich want to remove the left-back from Toca da Raposa II next year.
They report that Cruzeiro are willing to talk about the possibility of selling the 27-year-old, whose current contract expires in December 2026.
A £4m figure would be enough to please the Cruzeiro board and talks are now ongoing between the two clubs to close a deal in the January transfer window.
The Brazilian side are currently awaiting the ‘formalisation of a proposal’ from Norwich City before moving forward in negotiations over the deal.
They are not the only interested party, with six Brazilian clubs, Bahia, Corinthians, Grêmio, Internacional, Red Bull Bragantino and São Paulo all having asked about the left-back’s situation at this moment in time.
None of them have sent formal proposals, though, and Norwich are the only ones to have opened negotiations for the defender to date.
It seems they’re yet to make any formal offer but that could be a matter of time, with £4m seemingly not a roadblock for either party.
