Norwich City have been in contact with FC Nantes defender Jean-Charles Castelletto about a move to the club this summer.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Canaries are keen to strengthen their defence as they return to the Premier League.

Castelletto is a player they have their eye on and sources close to the player have told the website that Norwich, as well as Celta Vigo, have contacted the player’s entourage.

That was to ‘present the sporting project’ to the player, but there is no mention of how the 26-year-old responded to the contact.

FC Nantes are seemingly open to losing the player, who managed 27 appearances for the French team last season, and have set an asking price of €2-3m to sell the Cameroon international this summer.

Whether that’s a price Norwich are willing to pay isn’t mentioned, but it’s by no means insurmountable if they are keen.

Either way, contact has been made ahead of a possible transfer, and we’re sure we’ll be seeing and hearing more about Castelletto in the coming days.
