Hamburg’s interest in Norwich City’s Timm Klose is no surprise. The German club were linked during the Janaury transfer window but failed to come to an agreement on a deal.
Now, HSV are back, and there’s quite some confidence in Germany that Hamburg will get their man. German magazine SportBild report that Klose is a personal request of Markus Gisdol, Hamburg’s manager.
That’s enough for SportBild to explain the transfer should be happening, which may be news to Norwich.
Klose has a contract with the club until June 2019, and Norwich will demand a transfer fee from Hamburg. Escaping from relegation, again, Hamburg are once more optimistic about the future, but they won’t have big funds to throw around, and Gisdol seems to have a whole list of interests.
A much used member of the Norwich squad last season, Klose is hardly going to be allowed to leave for nothing, and so negotiations will have to commence, something SportBild don’t say has happened.
