Even though Norwich City are living through a complicated situation in the Premier League, it’s inevitable that they’ll start working on their plans for the next season, regardless of the division they’ll be playing in.

And it turns out they could be looking for some reinforcements from South America, at least according to some information shared by Goal Brasil at the weekend.

The website reports that the Canaries are chasing Corinthians youngster Giovane, who’s enjoying his first games in the first team this season.

Goal Brasil claim that Norwich City sent scouts to watch Giovane in Brazil and currently monitor him, having competition from a French club for his signing as well.

Giovane made his debut for the first team this month and only has two appearances for them so far. He may have drawn Norwich City’s interest when playing the U-20 Copa São Paulo earlier this year.

The 18-year-old is featuring for Corinthians on a loan from Capivariano. The Timão have a buying option worth R$3m (£500k), which is very likely to be triggered, so they can soon negotiate his sale with European sides.
