Norwich City haven’t given up on the prospect of signing Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese club accepted a €3.5m offer from Norwich for the Dutch defender, but the player turned the opportunity down.
Nevertheless, Portuguese newspaper A Bola reports that Norwich haven’t given up and are determined to sign Zeegelaar. With the fee to Sporting already agreed, it’s just of case of repeatedly trying to convince the player himself.
Sporting may well help Norwich in that regard, because they’d be quite happy for the transfer to go through.
A fee of €3.5m for a fringe player is good business for them.
If Sporting can convince Zeegelaar, who has a contract until June 2020, that he has no future at the club then Norwich may become more attractive.
