Celtic will be glad the transfer window is now closed, the final week or so was full of claims about players leaving the Scottish Premiership club.

Dedryck Boyata was the main one, with the Belgian international and his agent trying to push their way out of Celtic Park, in moves which didn’t go too well with the club’s supporters.

Olivier Ntcham was another worry, with strong claims of interest coming from Portugal, but Celtic’s likely asking price did enough to scare off Porto and others.

Moussa Dembele did get a move, after using every trick at his disposal to do so.

For future windows there perhaps needs to be a worry about Kristoffer Ajer, with Norway’s ABC running an article on it.

Former Norway manager Egil Olsen is quoted as saying the Celtic player could turn out better than Brede Hangeland, and that a move to the Premier League is possible soon.

The Norwegian press association have also spoken to Liam McLeod of the BBC, and asked him about a move: “It’s likely that Ajer has already attracted attention from Premier League clubs. At the moment, Celtic is the best place for him, and he is not allowed to go to go in Virgil van Dijk’s footsteps.”
