Following a trial with Arsenal over the winter, it appears the Gunners have signed young winger George Lewis from Fram Larvik in Norway.
This is according to VG, who managed to get confirmation from the Norwegian club’s sports director Jostein Jensen.
Speaking to the outlet, he said: “Yes, we can confirm that. I have been told he has signed for Arsenal”.
As of yet, there has been no official announcement regarding the deal, but previous reports in the English media suggested the 19-year-old would first be playing for Arsenal’s U23s rather than integrating the first-team straight away.
Lewis, who only arrived from Tromsdalen UIL back in August 2019, only has five professional appearances under his belt to date, but it appears he impressed enough to convince the Gunners to gamble on him for the future.
Details of the deal have yet to be released, but Jensen went out of his way to give his best to the player.
He said: “We wish George good luck”.
