Tottenham star Pedro Porro has insisted they are a ‘humble, normal team’ who are determined to end the club’s hunt for a trophy.

Marca cover comments from the full-back today made in an interview with DAZN, in which he discusses life at Tottenham and how he’s feeling after a busy season.

Tottenham’s focus is currently on the Europa League, with them set to take on Bodø/Glimt in the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals this evening.

They head in to that tie 3-1 from the first leg at home a week ago and confident of making their way to the final as they seek to end the club’s trophy drought and get themselves back into the Champions League as Europa League champions.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have faced plenty of criticism this season, but Porro insists they are nothing but a humble team focused on winning things.

“We’re a normal, humble team that knows what the objectives are, and we have to go after them. They haven’t enjoyed winning titles for a long time, and that’s what we’re trying to achieve,” he said.

It’s been another busy season for Porro, who is the undisputed first choice right back at Tottenham at this moment in time.

He’s made 47 appearances in all competitions to date, with 3802 minutes under his belt alongside three goals and nine assists.

That tally is likely to be above 50 by the end of the season and 4,000 minutes if they make it to the Europa League final as expected.

Porro, though, insists that he is not feeling any negative side effects and is instead in fighting condition.

“Individually, I feel good. I’ve played quite a few games this season, which is a good sign because I haven’t had any injuries,” he added.

“I feel focused, which is also very good in bad moments, and the most important thing is to be 200% focused.”
