On July 2nd, Area Napoli claimed Jorginho ‘seems willing to leave’ Chelsea after this season and the report also explained Juventus are ‘on his track’.
The midfielder played under Maurizio Sarri at Napoli at Stamford Bridge, and Area Napoli suggested the Old Lady’s manager is willing to sign his former player for the Turin club this summer.
These claims emerged after the Brazil-born Italy international did not feature for the Blues after football resumed last month. Frank Lampard has left the 28-year-old on the bench for the last three fixtures.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has given an interview to Radio Kiss Kiss and responded to the recent rumours linking his client to Juventus.
“I know Fabio Paratici well, but nobody has contacted me at the moment to talk about Jorginho,” he said, as quoted by Calciomercato.
Juve have already agreed a deal to take Arthur from Barcelona and as part of the operation, Miralem Pjanić will move to the Camp Nou.
With the Serie A side securing the Brazilian’s services, Santos has raised doubts over the prospect of Juventus signing another midfielder in the next window.
“Among other things, Juve have taken Arthur from Barcelona this week. I don’t know Paratici’s strategies for next season,” the representative explained.
