Last month, we relayed news from Italy that Tottenham Hotspur ‘reached an agreement’ with AC Milan for the transfer of Franck Kessié, but the midfielder was not keen on leaving the San Siro in the winter market.

The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has not yet made a decision on his future. Juventus’ Paulo Dybala is in a similar situation as the two parties are yet to agree a deal for the renewal.

Calciomercato.it claim Dušan Vlahović’s arrival at the Turin club could be an indication the latter are looking to part ways with the Argentine, even though a meeting is scheduled with his agent in the coming weeks.

It is ‘no secret’ that both Kessié and Dybala are appreciated by Antonio Conte, and there could be a ‘double track’ leading the duo to join Spurs on free transfers in the summer.

Journalist Enrico Camelio, however, now claims the two players have said ‘no’ to the north London club.

“I can guarantee you Conte absolutely wanted Bentancur: he would have been satisfied with Kessié too, who at this point will no longer go to Tottenham. Dybala-Tottenham: 0 %,” Camelio told CMIT TV.

“Conte wanted them [Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski], it is not true that Paratici just took them.”

If Kessié and Dybala decide to not sign new deals with Milan and Juventus respectively, they can join another club on a free transfer in the summer and ‘there will be no shortage of suitors’ for the duo.

At that stage, Camelio’s claims about Tottenham likely being rejected can be tested.
