Agents often get blamed for being behind transfer rumours, trying to talk up the value of their players and either get a lucrative new contract or a move elsewhere.

That certainly happens, however, sometimes they do the opposite.

The past week has seen several claims in Italy of a possible Sergio Aguero move to Serie A. The striker was even described as not being entirely happy at his current club, and therefore considering an exit in the summer.

Well, for the second time in a few days, the Manchester City player’s agent has moved to completely rubbish the claims.

This time speaking to FCInterNews, Hernan Reguera said: “Sergio has a contract with Manchester City until 2021. There is no possibility that he will go away sooner. Then you will see. Did I speak to the Nerazzurri? No, the reason is simple: Aguero is fine with the Citizens and has no intention of changing teams.”

Aguero seems perfectly happy where he is, and there’s no reason to doubt his agent’s words. Inter Milan had reportedly been looking at him as a potential replacement for Lautaro Martinez, who could be joining Barcelona this summer.

Unless City push him out, which also seems unlikely, Aguero won’t be going anywhere in the next market.
